Stopping counterfeits. One solution.
One answer. Certain everytime
The problem
Safety
Fake medicine reaches patients. Counterfeit components enter aerospace and automotive supply chains. More than 350,000 people are seriously injured by counterfeit goods every year. The consequences aren't commercial, they're physical.
Revenue
Straight sales losses. Grey market goods undercutting global pricing strategies. Authorised channels bypassed. The damage compounds at every level.
Trust
Every fake that reaches a consumer erodes confidence in the real thing. Quietly. Permanently.
A stuck industry
Mission
Safety
Not batch-level. Not a shared code. Every single item carries a unique atomic fingerprint created by physics, not by design.
Your supply chain becomes auditable in seconds.
Every Q-ID® is registered at point of print. Every scan is a data point: location, time, device. Grey market diversion shows up in real time. So does the moment a fake enters your supply chain.
Your customers become your authentication network.
Their smartphone. Any market. Three seconds. No app to download on iOS. No specialist equipment. Authentication reach extends from a handful of trained inspectors to every consumer who picks up your product.
It integrates with what you already have.
GS1 compliant. Compatible with existing Track & Trace. One scan delivers authentication and T&T data simultaneously.

FAQ
How is Q-ID® different from the holograms or QR codes we already use?
Holograms and QR codes can be photographed, studied, and reproduced, that’s exactly how they get counterfeited. Q-ID®’s security isn’t visual or informational, it’s physical. The identity exists at the atomic level, somewhere no counterfeiting operation can reach.
Do our customers need to download an app to verify a product?
No, on iOS. App Clip technology means iOS users authenticate without downloading anything at all. Android users use the Q-ID® app or your own branded app via the SDK. Either way: point the camera, get an answer, in three seconds.
Does Q-ID® replace our existing track & trace system?
No, it plugs into it. Q-ID® is GS1 compliant and works alongside the serialisation you already have. One scan delivers both an authentication result and track & trace data at the same time, so you’re not running two systems side by side.
How quickly could we deploy Q-ID® on our products?
Faster than most brands expect, because it works with your existing print supply chain rather than replacing it. Timelines depend on your packaging format and current printer, but there’s no need to switch suppliers or redesign your production line to get started.
What does Q-ID® do that serialisation and barcodes don’t already do?
A serialised barcode confirms a code exists, it doesn’t confirm the product is genuine. Photocopy a barcode and it still scans as “authentic.” Q-ID® can’t be photocopied into existence: no atoms, no signal, no result. It closes the gap serialisation was never built to close.
Can Q-ID® detect grey market or parallel imports?
Yes. Every Q-ID® is registered at point of print and every scan is a data point: location, time, device. If a product shows up somewhere it shouldn’t, that surfaces in real time, not months later in a quarterly report.
Does adding Q-ID® mean switching packaging suppliers or printers?
No. Q-ID® integrates with your current printer’s existing production line, either litho or flexo. There’s no need to move your print contract to add atomic-level authentication; we’ll work with the partner you already have, or bring one in if needed.
What proof is there that this actually works at scale?
Over 2 billion Q-ID®s are live in market today. Zero have been counterfeited. The technology is backed by 40+ patents and a decade of research, and it’s been through independent adversarial testing of people trying, deliberately, to break it.
Is the data collected through Q-ID® secure?
Yes. Authentication compares encrypted emission signatures, not stored images, so there’s nothing to steal that could be reverse-engineered into a working Q-ID®. Scan data (location, time, device) is yours, hosted according to your compliance requirements.
What’s the first step if we want to explore Q-ID® for our products?
Get in touch and request a sample. We’ll talk through your specific counterfeiting risk, your product format, and your current print supply chain, so you can see and test Q-ID® yourself before making any commitment.
